Notably, the EE-3 was used by troopers of both the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. The EE-3 was one of BlasTech's most popular non-military weapons, and was primarily designed for law enforcement and private security forces due to its standard features and low price, however, the EE-3 quickly became extremely popular with bounty hunters and paramilitary groups across the galaxy. The EE-3 also boasted heavy fire capability, on par with many rifles of its time, though like many carbines only had moderate range. The EE-3 came equipped with a short and heavily shrouded barrel, pistol grip, a solid stock, and optical sight the EE-3 was select-fire, and could fire single shots or bursts, which was an oddity for carbines. Rugged and reliable, the EE-3 was a short, lightweight carbine based off an older full-sized BlasTech rifle.
